This is a full day watercolour workshop with the popular Karen Lester. There will be a charge of £20 for this and please book early to avoid disappointment.

Landscape panting is always a favourite.  You might want to continue with techniques learnt in Karen Lester's workshop, or do your own thing.  Time is getting on and we need to be thinking about our annual exhibition!

Start an industrial landscape using charcoal.

Either complete your previous charcoal sketch in colour, or start another using any medium.

Workshop with Ruth Clayton of Farfield Mill.  Ruth has a history of popular tutor led workshops and is well known for her watercolour sea and waterfall paintings.  You will come away from her workshop with a completed painting.

Use your understanding of Ruth Clayton's techniques in order to make your own painting.

Sketch each other today.  Do 10 minute poses, standing, sitting, holding something or anything you can think of.

Welcome to the Annual General Meeting of Kendal Art Society

Use any medium to paint or sketch the interior of a cafe.  You can take your idea from somewhere you have been and sketched, or have taken a photo.  You could make it up or take the idea from famous artists like the French Impressionists who often did paintings of cafe or restaurant life.

Any medium to paint or sketch through a garden gate using a previous sketch or a photo, or it could be made up.  Use your imagination on this one!  

We will have the lovely life model, Andrea, today.  It will be £20 for the day and please book in plenty of time.
