DESCRIPTION:We will be meeting at Abbot Hall Social Centre but hopefully going out to sketch one of Kendal’s interesting bridges.  Nether Bridge\, or the footbridge are of course the nearest\, and Miller Bridge is rather difficult to see with all the building work around it\, but could be interesting. \nIf the weather is awful you can stetch from a photo which I will bring in or one of your own. \nLets see what happens. \n

SUMMARY:Another Bridge this one over the Canal
DESCRIPTION:This week we will be visiting the canal at Stainton.  It is quite difficult to find so drive along Burton Road A 65\, and turn right on the road to Stainton.  Go through Stainton village until you have to veer right along a short part of the canal\,  you can park just before the bridge that takes a sharp right over the canal. \nSo park just before the bridge on Viver Lane LA8 0LE (if you have gone over the bridge you have gone too far).

DESCRIPTION:One of our favourite places\, the beautiful grounds of Sizergh Castle has numerous areas to sketch or paint.  You do have to pay for parking unless you are a member so if possible get a lift from a member or take a member with you.  Meet at 10.00 in the cafe or nearby\, it does get very busy.
