Kendal Art Society meets on a weekly basis throughout the year, with several outdoor meetings during the summer

Members and non-member guests are all welcome. If it is your first time, please introduce yourself or feel free to get in touch online ahead of a meeting so that someone knows to look out for you.

Our regular base is the Abbot Hall Social Centre in Kendal on Thursday mornings but please check here for timings and venues for individual events and meetings.

  • Charcoal drawing on big sheets of paper

    Abbot Hall Adult Social Centre Dowker Lane, Kendal

    Get out your comfort zone and try to draw on a big sheet of paper using charcoal. If you don't have any large sheets of paper (at least A3 or A2), or charcoal, we can supply it. Please bring a cover to protect the tables, it is messy!   Tea/coffee and biscuits £1.00  

  • Flowers using your own choice of medium

    This is an open day where you can paint from a photo, bring in your own pot plant, or a bunch of flowers, or follow on from last weeks charcoal drawing. the choice is yours.   Tea/coffee and biscuits £1.00

  • Kendal Art Society’s Annual General Meeting.

    Our Annual Exhibition will take place from Saturday 25th May 10.00 to 17.00, Sunday 26th closed, Monday 27th May to Friday 31st May 10.00 - 17.00. Saturday 1st June 10.00 - 15.00. Free entry. Please come and enjoy the work our members have produced throughout the year.
